Talk about your bad hair days...
When Max has to get his hair shaved, he is terrified by what he discovers underneath-
POLKA DOTS!  Believing he can hide, his secret is soon uncovered.  Much to his surprise,
Max's friends not only accept him, but what they do next is truly amazing.

These mutts are on a mission!
A mission to show that strays and rescues can be quite lovable. Max and all his friends are a family of rescued dogs and cats. They want to do their part to help other animals who are just like them before they were adopted.
Their new book offers a heart- warming lesson of self esteem and acceptance for children young and old, while shining a positive light on the many real characters just waiting to be found in shelters or adopted through local rescue groups.
